BLUE IS THE NEW GREEN
Sustainable Club x Xintiandi Plaza launched in May 2019 as a community space for promotion of sustainable lifestyle. It offers eco-friendly, high quality products and spreads awareness through a wide range of workshops and events.
A strong believer in sustainable development, Rim gave new life to some 80 pairs of jeans in this Sustainable Club textile art project. It took over 200 working hours! The result: six elegant pieces that pull one in with their natural flow of blue denim hues and subtle rhythm of lines and texture.

A project evoking the inside of a fresh coffee pod.
SATIN + RIBBONS +Â BEADS
This coffee grain is like a bottle of perfume, sophisticated and luxurious.
These overlapping layers embody the depth of the unique fragrance of coffee. Each sip opens locks in us and releases our tensions. Every new sip enriches our imagination, multiplies our sensations, liberates our sensuality. These layers seek to translate this subtle voluptuousness. It is the coffee that reveals our intimate richness and subtly encourages our vital energy to unfold in all its creative forces.
LACE+FELT+TARLATANE+LEATHER MACRAMÉ+HANDWEAVING+EMBROIDERY
This coffee grain is more minimalist, more brut, and more organic. It evokes the immediate impact that a good cup of coffee has on us. We are seduced on the spot, conquered, transported, despite our daily worries. The coffee is totally available to us, without pretences. There is a sort of innocence, a truth of coffee, stronger than any contingency. It is an invitation to authentic, profound and delicate pleasure as you dive into it. And the layers reflect here the stratums of mystery that is a good cup of coffee: coffee is superficially deep.
HANPAINTED SILK CHIFFON+COFFEE DYED SILK CHIFFON+TULLE+ORGANZA+EMBROIDERY
Here, the coffee bean evocates the softness (chiffon), the pleasure (frills), the full-bodied aromas (tulle frills). A little like the petals being slowly stripped from a flower, gradually liberating its aromas. The stem is like the enchanting aroma of the hot coffee and the vaporous and delicate volute that escapes from the cup of coffee when it is poured.
It brings with it a comforting sweetness and reverie that charms us irresistibly. This voluptuous emanation raises the taster above the contingencies of the ordinary and arouses or awakens in him suave impressions of peace and serenity. This is a time when time feels suspended, stopped in its course. There is something aerial and light, translated with the use of chiffon and light colours, thus transporting us to happy lands!

THE WORLD OF SEAWEED
Concept I Creation of Skytex booth decoration at Première Vision. Skytex is a Shanghai based manufacture, producing eco-friendly and sustainable yarns and textiles. The goal of this installation is to create artworks showcasing textiles and yarns made from Seacell, a fibre extracted from seaweed.
