Travel restrictions can change at any time and you should be prepared to tender any and all required health documentation, if necessary. Our retreat takes place in a relatively remote area where there is little access to normal medical services or hospital facilities for serious problems. Medical expenses will be your responsibility.

Additionally, we reserve the right at any time to refuse a participant the right to participate in the retreat if we feel you are mentally or physically incapable to attend or continue and/or if a trip member's continued participation jeopardises the group's or their own safety. Under these circumstances, refunds are not given.

This trip has been set up to receive a €500.00 deposit, plus either full amount or  a plan of  3 equal payments at no additional charge. Final Payment is due at least 30 days before the first day of the retreat.

This trip is valued at a higher rate than some other retreats you may come across due to the following factors:

  • We know that most of our travelers will fly into France and will not rent a car. A one-way transfer from Avignon for just 1 person is about €300.00 (€600.00 return). To avoid surprising travelers with unexpected high, yet essential costs, we have included round-trip group transfers to/from Avignon.

  • We’ve also included several art, healing and wellbeing workshops, as well as materials (and ingredients) and excursions (with transport).

  • I picked Parenthèse en Luberon because it is a beautiful, quiet, private house, so that we can be an intimate group. Gourmet food will be served by our private chef so that we can stay in the special energy provided by the house and our retreat activities.

In order to provide that safe and quiet regenerative space, we must charge accordingly.

Our guest house is located 30 min walk away from the village of Rustrel.

Group Transfer: We will provide round-trip group transport to and from Avignon (1h20 by car). The pick-up/drop-off location will be at a central location in Avignon.

Avignon to Parenthèse en Luberon: Our group transfer will meet for departure on June 6th at 2:00 pm

Parenthèse en Luberon to Avignon : Our group transfer will return to Avignon on June 11th at 10:30 am

How to get to/from Avignon: You can take the TGV train to Avignon from Paris, Lyon or Marseille.

There’s also an international airport (Aéroport Avignon-Provence) linking Avignon to several cities in the UK, located 8km away from the town centre.

If you  are traveling from a different time zone, we recommend that you arrive at least one day early. Avignon is a beautiful city to spend half a day to a full day in.

If you are extending your travel in France before or after your retreat, you may wish to consider the trains in Aix-en-Provence as well depending on your plans.

The arrangement and cost of your airport transfer are your responsibility; though we will provide resources and recommendations to help you make arrangements in Avignon.

Taxis/transfers in France are expensive and there is no Uber in Luberon. We are including the cost of transportation for an excursion so that you can see a typical Provençal perched village. There will be a bike at the guest house that you may borrow if available. You may also rent a bike at the nearest town (Apt), but please note that it’s a little bit far to walk there (8km).

If you think you may want to explore in your free time, you might consider renting a car. Roads in Provence are paved, safe, and easy to get around.

Should you choose to arrange your own transport to/from Parenthèse en Luberon, please note:

Check-in is 4:00-4:30 p.m. on June 6th

Check-out is 10:30 a.m. at the latest on June 11th

Early June is a great time to visit the region and enjoy the sight of all its flower fields blooming (sunflowers, poppies, and lavender), with dry, sunny weather, just before the crowds invade the area for summer.

Provence has a dry mediterranean climate.

Average temperatures in June fall between 20°C (68°F) and 26°C (79°F).

Nights and early mornings dip around 15°C (59°F) at this time of year and it can get windy at times (the Mistral), so plan a warm layer.

Clothes etc...: Bring comfortable, light and breathy clothes, as well as a warmer layer for the early mornings and evenings.

For the day out at the ochre site, please bring an outfit and shoes that can be dirtied without problem (the pigments do stain quite a bit!) - better to avoid white unless you want it to get painted ;-)

A pair of comfortable walking shoes.

A pair of breathy sandals.

A swimsuit.

A hat and sunglasses.

Sun protection cream.

Mosquito repellent (June is normally not mosquito season, but better to be prepared anyway)

A beach towel for the swimming pool.

Art Supplies: The necessary supplies for the purpose of the retreat will be provided. Feel free to bring your favourite supplies such as your favourite pens or brushes if needed.

Food: Our local chef will serve delicious, healthy Provençal meals that focus on preserving the taste and texture of seasonal, locally grown fresh ingredients. It is a food of the sun, simple yet bursting with aromas and colours.  Animal products such as eggs and meat will be offered. Please inform us of your dietary needs in advance so that we can do our best to accommodate.

Alcohol: Alcohol is not prohibited, but we kindly request that retreat guests refrain from bringing alcohol into the retreat center to be sensitive to those in recovery and the way in which alcohol has potential to change the group dynamic. However, guests are welcome to consume alcohol in moderation at the guest house (they have some good bottles of excellent local rosé) and while visiting the village of Roussillon at their discretion.

Smoking: Smoking and illegal drugs are not permitted on the property.

The retreat will be conducted in English primarily.

Additional language - French
